ASHA approved training information here!
(To do the practical training you need to have an Acoustic Pioneer account. SIGN UP HERE!)
Please do the training in chunks of time that are convenient for you. Also, feel free to share these details with other Audiologist, SLP, or psychologist colleagues.
There are 4 video sessions (1.5 hours each) and review various aspects of APD and/or the Acoustic Pioneer programs and science associated with them. These can be viewed into smaller blocks of time as needed.
- Session 1 – A VIDEO - a review of APD and significant data on how it relates to language and reading through current literature review
- Session 2 – A VIDEO - a review of the Acoustic Pioneer test battery, Feather Squadron including the science behind it some recorded samples as well.
- Session 3– A VIDEO - a review of the Acoustic Pioneer Zoo Caper (Dichotic Listening) and Insane Earplane (Auditory Patterning) therapies, including the science behind them and some recorded samples as well.
- Session 4– A VIDEO - a review of the Acoustic Pioneer Elephant Memory Training (Rote and Working Memory) and Sound Storm (Speech in Loclized Noise) therapies, including the science behind them and some recorded samples as well
- That’s it!
To View the lecture videos (Sessions 1 - 4) - see the videos in the video section (CLICK HERE) and you will need a device that is online and with headphones or speakers to hear the audio portion. Headphones are needed to experience sessions 2-4 properly as the left and right ears experience different auditory information.
Please send the ASHA CE form, the "Self Learning Assessment and the Course Eval" in the documents section of this website and send to info@acousticpioneer.com.
